Cookies were ok. One dress cookie cutter was very thin which broke apart when transferring to the pan. My kids just made 2 piece dresses. The quantity of product was enough to make a few cookies. Minor Typo in instructions. My kids have decided they donāt really like sprinkles much so didnāt eat much of cookies once they were prepared. My girls had fun making/cutting/decorating cookies. I hope some of the kits arent just sugar and dye:
Lava cake molds are smaller than picture/recipe shows. We were able to make 7 which worked out well for 3 kids to each have 2 and 1 to explain volcano with vinegar and baking soda. Didnāt come with vinegar. I thought the idea was really cute. Kids had fun. I like that we didnāt have sprinkles as part of kit. Instructions were easy to follow. I wish for $36 per kit we would get the ~$1 cake mix ~$5 mini bundt cake moulds, and include supplies for STEAM activity/craft supplies I didnāt realize I needed to buy colored play dough and vinegar to be able to do this kit. I will look more closely next time. I was able to complete this kit with my 9, 6, 5 year old. I have learned my kids have more fun making the treat and spending time together than actually eating what they make-too much sugar/sweets. If future kids are less sugar/dyes I may feel more inclined to order 3 kits/mo so thereās one for each kiddo.
Because the Iām The Chef website can be very confusing, the value in having competent, cooperative customer service reps cannot be emphasized enough. Thanks to everyone on your customer service team, you are keeping and not losing customers!
Not a fun stem focused kit. Some of the others we have done a lot more fun and engaging
For my daughter's big gift this year we ordered her a 6 month subscription. Our first kit was the snow globe cupcakes and she loved it! She had so much fun and even ended up with more cupcakes that the recipe said!
I bought this for my granddaughter. My daughter in law commented that she was surprised that she had to lend the oats into smaller bits (this could have been done prior). She was also surprised that she needed to supply butter. She felt coconut oil would have been a better choice.
As a grandma giving the gift, I live that they spent time together creating in the kitchen.
Lots of fun with my 4 year old grandson.
He enjoyed each kit. Recommend as a good introducing to cooking and bonding experience
